On the last Sunday of every month, Bocas Dive Center hosts a Dive Against Debris cleanup dive at our very own dive site, Mayday. All certified divers (including newly certified divers at BDC) are invited to join us to help remove marine debris from the site. The dive starts at 2pm and each diver is provided with a mesh bag to gather trash. The dive is led and organized by our professional group of Instructors and Divemasters, who take you in small groups to guarantee safety and a great experience for everyone.

After the dive, we collect, sort, record and then report the data on the types and quantities of the trash collected to PADI’s Project AWARE. This data is important as it provides accurate quantitative data, to give a full perspective about underwater marine debris all over the world, that policy-makers simply cannot ignore. To date, hundreds of divers have helped to remove thousands of kilograms of marine trash from our local dive site.

We ask for a $10 donation, in return for one tank dive, all equipment hire inlcuding mesh gloves and bag, as well as a complimentary drink at Pier19 Restaurant following the dive, and a chance to chat to other ocean lovers who care about saving the environment.

Spaces are limited each month, so sign up today to secure your space! To book send a message via WhatsApp to +507 6348 9597 or email info@bocasdivecenter.com
